Due to a severe male factor and other issues, Jodie did not end up pregnant but a number of years down the road she feels that her journey held many blessings – the most important of which was learning to trust her own instincts with regard to infertility treatment and for her overall path in life. Dr. Lewis writes about Jodie in the last chapter of The Infertility Cure (identified as “Julie” in the book). With a career that includes a teaching degree along with sales and marketing positions, Jodie served as a volunteer and board member for Resolve of Houston for several years and feels that her work with infertility patients is a calling. She knows where these women are coming from having been there herself; and believes that the Fertile Soul Program, integrating mind, body and spirit are essential components for the healing that needs to occur for women in this struggle. Jodie has seen so many wonderful success stories with this program and urges anyone dealing with infertility to consider alternative therapy on it's own or in conjunction with western therapies. Jodie Eisenhardt has been an enthusiastic supporter of Dr. Lewis for more than five years, after experiencing tremendous healing (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) during her own struggle with infertility. Diagnosed with PCOS and Endometriosis, her cycles went from 35-40 days with no ovulation to 30-day cycles, ovulating on her own with the treatment of acupuncture and herbal therapy. Additionally, allergies were eliminated; migraine headaches greatly diminished and overall health and well-being were affected in a most-positive way.
